Hi, I’d like to know if I can combine layer masks in any way? When I fill my canvas with a horizontal gradient and right after that a vertical, only the vertical one has effect on the transparency.

I’m only going to respond to one post. Next time, be patient, and your post will soon come up on the new group. Please see news.newusers.questions for a FAQ that covers the Usenet.

Now, there are several ways to combine Layers. There is a small > (arrow) in the upper right of the Layers Palette. The choices are listed on a fly-out menu. Choose the one that suits your needs.
