Sorry if this is out of topic question.
Why I can not save a .ico file with a transparent background? I'm using IrfanView
You can easily do this directly from Photoshop with my .ico file
format plugin:

Thanks allot, but still dose not save it as a transparent, I can still see the background.
Am I doing something wrong here?
The README has more details. ICO files have a 1-bit transparency mask and may also have an 8-bit alpha channel (32-bit "XP-style" icons).
The plugin derives the 1-bit transparency mask in 3 possible ways: - from layer transparency when creating an RGB+alpha (32-bit) icon - from transparent palette index when creating an Indexed mode icon - from an alpha channel (black=opaque, white=transparent)
Also try opening someone else's favicon.ico with transparency and you'll see the alpha channel representing the mask.
HTH
Toby
Thanks
