Very slow text entry.

I have Photoshop 5.5 with WindowsXP.

I can enter the text but as I do so the lag between the keyboard and the sceens increases contantly.

Is there any way to speed this up?

Please help.

The simplest way I can think of is to write the text in Notepad (or any other editor you may be using) and copy the text into Photoshop.
