Different HSB values in swatches and Replace Color

In using the Replace Color function in PS Elements 2.0, I have trouble selecting the precise replacement color I want using the slider values for HSB.

I tried using the color swatches to select my desired color, noting the values for HSB, and entering those values in the HSB boxes of the Replace Color dialogue window. However, the numbering system differs in the two functions. The numbering system in Replace Color goes from +/-180, +/-100, +/-100 whereas the values in the color swatches dialogue boxes go from 0-255.

What is the correspondence between the two modes?
More directly, how can I set the desired HSB values in the replacement boxes?

Thanks! . . . . patrick

Patrick,

For Hue multiply the color swatch value by 256/360, and subtract 180 to get the equivalent slider value. Multiple Saturation and Brightness by 100/255 to convert to percent.
