I'm trying to save a file for printing on a particular printer that I've set up in proof set-up with the ICC profile. When I try to save as a tiff, I can't check the Color option to "Use Proof Setup" because it's greyed out. I can uncheck the ICC profile for Adobe RGB the proof option is still greyed.
I'm fairly new to PS-CS. Suggestions for what I'm doing wrong here.
Thanks in advance

Kevin,
You would need to Convert to your required colour space before saving

Thanks. That works but I still don't understand why "use proof setup" exists- it's still greyed.

You can only use that setting if you save as PDF or EPS. Not TIFF. If a CMYK profile is chosen inside Proof Setup and your image is in CMYK color, you'll also have the option when you save as EPS DCS. I practically never use the setting though. I find it much easier to convert the image to the right color space before it's saved.

Kevin,
That is only available for EPS and DCS_EPS formats
