I need to change the backgrounds of several images to white in an action after running Fit Image. Is there a simple way to do this in PS 7.0.1? The background color after Fit Image is gray. The images are different sizes, proportions and orientations prior to creating and running action to accomplish this.

I have seen a suggestion in another thread to add "Define Background Color" to action, but can find no such feature.

Here’s what I have so far:

Open
Automate>Fit Image>100×100
Unsharp Mask
Hue/Saturation
Export
Close

Thanks in advance,
Jim

Add flatten after H/S ?? That should do it.

Barry,

Unable to flatten b/c images are only 1 layer (background layer). Maybe I worded second sentence poorly…what I meant was that the area created around the image area after Fit Image command is gray. This is what I want changed to white for all images.

I get it?maybe?
When you "fit image" the gray bg is the PS grey canvas bg. So, I’m not real sure why that matters, but just in case >
Select paint bucket>white >Shift click the canvas grey BG>bingo! white!
