I have a folder with a bunch of jpg's in it, is there any easy/fast way to import all these images as new layers in a single document in photoshop? thanks

Imageready does that. They seems to have left the option out of Photoshop, unless it's gone in to CS2.

I addition to ImageReady, this can be done with a simple action in Photoshop. Use Duplicate Layer with the target document selected in Destination and batch it under Automate.

Drag and Drop works pretty good too. Use the Move tool and just drag each photo onto your main photo and release it. It becomes a new layer on the photo.
