unable to download awexfies.txt

PS 7.01 OS ME. I can connect to Abobe web site from main PS window but updating from help results in error message "File could not be downloaded. Computer not configured correctly for adobe online. Check tcp/ip and http proxy/port settings". I have no other web access problems. The files to be downloaded are two awexfiles.txt files.
Suggestions please.

Most folks see that. Just turn of the automatic updates feature in the Online Manager d/box.

There will be no further updates for PS7,01 anyway, now that CS is released
