Liquify Tool & Nvidia Drivers

I've have tried to update my Nvidia GeForce 2 drivers on several occaisions over the past months, and it seems that doing so causes the Liquify tool to screw up in my Adobe photoshop 7.1. Instead of having a round brush that tweaks things smaller, etc...I get a SQUARE brush that just kida duplicates the small square section of the picture, and makes kind of "square trails" on the original picture...and there's no apparent way to get it to work normally. (i.e. changing brushes, sizes, etc.)
But reverting back to my older Nvidia drivers seems to correct it. I did a search thoughout this site, several newsgroups, and forums...and apparently no one is aware of this issue. Same holds true with Nvidia's website. Neither Adobe...nor Nvidia seems to be aware of the bug, has any info on their sites concerning it, or has a fix for it.
I'm running Win ME with Adobe PS 7.1 with 512 RAM and a Pentium 3 1 gig processor. And I would like to update my Nvidia drivers.
Any help with this issue would be greatly appreciated.

Eddie, I recently updated my GeForce 2 drivers (to the drivers that were released in Oct. 2003) and I'm not seeing what you describe with PS 7.1. I'm on Win XP, though, so that's a major variable.

Yep...as a matter of fact I just installed the new Forceware V. 53.04 drivers...yet again this morning to see if maybe something might of changed...but unfortunately not. Had to go back to my older GeForce 2 drivers cuz Liquify screwed up again.

The easiest way to test, is to go into control panel, and using the System applet, set Video Hardware Acceleration to NONE. If it goes away, it's the vid drivers, and you have to either roll back a version or update the drivers.

Fwiw, if there's a problem with drivers, Photoshop will find it.
