Is it possible to change a photo to what looks like an airbrushed image

Hello,
I was wondering if it is possible to change a photograph into what appears like an airbrushed image, like what can be seen in fantasy art. I'm using PS 6.0 and 7.0.

it's most definately possible. can you post a link to an example of the effect you wish to achive?

in the meantime, a good resource is to google "photoshop tutorial" then add another search term, like:

"photoshop tutorial airbrush effect"

Thanks Dave,
I want to try and create some signature pictures, like what you see in newsgroups (can't think of any links at the moment). Alot of the time the pictures look like they have been extracted from normal photograghs and changed to an airbrushed image effect.
