Why did my Serial Number expire?

I have had Photshop CS with image Ready CS for several months now and all of a sudden today when I need to get my school project done poof! NO PHOTOSHOP!
I dont understand how my serial number could expire and need to get back up and running. Legal procedures only please.
After further thought is it Possible that adobe disabled my serial number due to someone possibly has pirated my serial number?

you're probably using a beta. a beta tester here said they were all set to expire jan. 31st.

As Dave says, this should only happen to beta copies. Where did you buy it?

If you are not using a beta (and even if you are) you might get it to work so you can finish your school project by turning the calendar back on your computer to something like 1-Jan-04. That will make the program think it is before the license termination date. When you are done with your project or get the license thing resolved, just put your calendar back to the correct date.
