Hi,

I want to flatten multi-layer photoshop files and save them as Jpg, Tga, etc.. These protoshop files have been created using layer blending options like "multiply". After flattening the image, the picture is suddenly distorted (square shapes on the picture). This only happens when you flatten images that use other layer blending options than "normal".

I would be happy about any advice!

Cheers!

Does this happen with one particular image?
Can you figure out which layer is causing the problem – by doing a series of Merge Down operations? Which version of PS?

there was a multiply bug in ps 7.0, are you using that or 7.01? (or other? <g>)

no, it doesn’t only happen with a particular picture. I use V 7.0 and this problem does not have anything to do with the display. When I merge down layers with the layer blending option "multiply", the distortion appears..it seems to be kind of a rendering bug…

Maybe I should update to 7.01.

Thanks to all of you for your kind help!

Yes!

Let us know if this fixes it.
