Extract tool

Ever since I installed Photoshop CS everything has been working great. But for a week or so when I tried to use the extract tool it freezes up Photoshop. It doesn't mess anything else (it doesn't freeze up the whole computer). Maybe freeze isn't the right word, because I can still move the mouse around. It just won't let me do any extracting or anything else on Photoshop. I have to close Photoshop everytime I open the extract tool. Can anyone help?

do you see the extract dialog or is that missing. if it's not there see the faq topic "Dialog is Missing".
