I have a set of similar images, and I need to apply the slices from one to the other.
How can I copy or save the slices from one document, and paste or load them onto another document with the exact same dimensions?
(I thought I knew how, but it is not working.)

I'm afraid I probably don't understand what the problem is. Is your 'slice'
on more than one layer? If that's the problem just hide all other layers by
clicking off the 'eye' icons, then Copy Merged; make new document; it will default to the size of the copied item, but if you want the original documents dimensions just type them in; and paste. Alternatively, just save
a copy of your original document and delete what you don't want to keep.
Passed that I don't know what you mean to ask. You should also always state
what version you're using so that we know what tools you do or do not have.

I have a set of 5 images all the same size and very similar in layout. I have one of them sliced the way I want it, now I need to apply the exact same "slicing lines" to the other four.
Nothing to do with copy/pasting the sliced images, just the layout of the slicing guidelines.
Rather than individually slicing up the other 4 images, I want to apply the exact same "cuts" that I have already created on the first one to the rest of them.

Just bring the images in as new layers or layer sets; the sliced should remain in place; turn off/hide layers you don't want included in the slices
if they show. Might need to align to your other image, dunno.

Presuming the slices in each image have exactly the same dimensions, then making a layer of each slice is the way to go, then click and drag the layer to put it the same position in the new image. Layers are your friend. Don't make it hard on yourself.
For future use in Photoshop, you can create an action to create guides and then 'slice on guides'a

For future use in Photoshop, you can create an action to create guides and then 'slice on guides'. This assures accuracy with each image. (When creating the guides, you can type in a setting of, for example, vertical 10%, 20%...). In ImageReady it is much simpler: create guides (relatively automatic), then slice-on-guides.

This I know, but it is not at all what I want. The slicing scheme is much more complicated than that...
Sure seems like there ought to be a "save slices" and "load slices" menu somewhere ?!?
Since it's the slice lines he wants to keep regardless of images, I'm still
thinking he should save a copy of that document, then just delete all the images/layers and save that as a working template... maybe. Seems a harder way to work not to do it with layers/sets, but we can't see what he's up to;)

looks good, this method of sliding the layers under the slice map from the first doc
is what I ended up with, which is pretty much what I was doing before the first post
