i’m relatively new to Photoshop (Windows), so i apologize if this is obvious or already answered a million times but i did some research and couldn’t find much so… how do i record selecting a tool in an action? i got it to work by using the Tool Presets palette, but that seems a little awkward. isn’t there some way to directly record clicking on the Tools menu? (i can’t figure out how to get Insert Menu Item to do it.) or the keystroke that selects the tool?
and if Tool Presets is the only way to do it, how come i can’t create a preset for the Measure Tool? the New Tool Preset option is greyed out when that tool is selected.
