Hi all,
sometimes square selection tool works only in ADD mode; i make a square selection, then there’s a little "+" near mouse vidget, and i can only add selection. I need to restore default status, where selection is in "neutral" mode, and a click outside selected area works as de-selection tool. I dont know how i have activated this annoying status, and i cannot find any way to restore default status.
Help is wellcome 😉

Thank you,
Paolo

Are you holding down Shift? That will make it add.

If not, maybe trash preferences.

OOps! Look at the icons on the Options Bar. I bet you have the one that looks like two merged rectangles clicked.

Hi,
in fact i discovered that icon after some minutes i posted ! I’m a PS veteran, but there’s always something to learn… 😉 While i’m here, there’s a strange issue i never understood; i usually work with brush size, not precise mode.
Well, for some reason (maybe some key combo) sometime mouse swithc itself in "precise" mode and there’s nothing i can do (no, option tools are totally useless). After some time, it returns the same.
This happens from 6.0 and on several PC.

Thanks anyway,

Paolo

It happens because you’ve hit caps lock.
