Hiding Photoshop (Mac)

OK, Adobe decided to use Cmd-H (which virtually all other Mac apps use to hide the current app) for something else and assigned Shift-Cmd-H to hide.

But even that doesn't work for me.

Am I the only one who is experiencing this?

PS CS 8.0; OS X 10.3.8

No, they assigned CMD-CTRL-H to hide, at least here in PShop CS...

no, apple decided to use cmd-h, cmd-m and cmd-` which many other apps already had been using for years, including photoshop. apple's handling is used if the app doesn't have them previously assigned.

some apps simply switched the commands to cmd-shift-h or another letter entirely. sometimes there is a preference setting to choose between the way it was or apple's new 'standard.'

with photoshop 7, one could pick 'use system shortcut keys' in preferences, but in photoshop cs, one can assign any key to any menu in the keyboard shortcuts dialog (edit menu/keyboard shortcuts...). simply set photoshop/hide photoshop to cmd-h. you will also need to resolve the conflict with show extras, which currently is cmd-h.

Works here. PS CS 8.0; OS X 10.3.8, 1GHz TiBook.

That is, cmd-ctrl-H, not shift-cmd-H.

Uh, it's cmd-ctrl-H, not cmd-shift-H

This is one of those things that I'd never thought might even be an option. So I never thought to look in the manual.
