Is there any way to lock palettes onto the main Window in CS?

I’m tired of all my palettes floating on top of the main window. When I move the main window, the palettes remain in the same place. How can I make them stay with the main interface? TIA,

Ron

There is no way I am aware of that can do what you’re asking. All the palletes are their own little entity. The closest thing to what you ask would be to use the pallete docking-well if you are not already using it. Another trick is to hold down shift and click on the offending pallete’s title bar. This will immediately snap it to the nearest screen-edge.

Yeah, I am using "Snap to". But the problem remains. When I move or resize the main screen, the palettes don’t move with it. Bad design. Adobe should at least give you the option to "lock" them to the window. Thanks anyway, Roy.

Dock your palettes to the palette well. At the top right corner of your screen is the palette well. Dragging the palettes and dropping them over the palette well will dock them. You can also click on the tiny triangle of each palette and select "dock to Palette Well.

The palette well is only visible if your screen resolution is higher than 800 x 600. Using the palette well will free up much valuable screen "real estate!"

Peadge 🙂
