Hello @

On our Windows computers we have following problem (Photoshop 5.5 and CS):

If we have a black/white image and want to use the Color Stamp Tool with Brush-Size or Precise Cursor, the cursor is sometimes invisible (depending on the greytone of the picture). Is there a possibility to solve this problem? (They don’t want to use the Standard-Coursor)

On a Mac, there is no problem, the coursor changes his color to white, instead of staying the same grey like the one in the picture.

Thanks for your help

Petra

Pressing the Space bar will turn your cursor into a much more visible hand. This is a good way to see where it actually is. Pressing CTRL (CMND) will turn it into the Move Tool temporarily which gives a more accurate view of the targeted area by having a more defined point.

No.

This problem exists because of a technical limitation in the way Windows handles cursors. This technical limitation doesn’t exist in the Mac API, so the Mac doesn’t have this problem.

Sorry…
