Making more "squares" on curves grid

Greetings,

When adjusting a curve (ctrl m), can someone tell me how to make more "squares" on the grid so there are more points to adjust? I am using PS6, but I guess doing this applies to all versions.

Open Layers and whilst holding down the Alt key simply click your mouse or pen inside the curve grid!
