how to draw lines other than solid or dotted?

hello everyone,

i'm new on here, and my question is probably quite trivial to most experienced users.

i've been trying to find a way to draw lines other than solid (the default) or dotted in photoshop 7.

the dotted line can be drawn by creating a new brush with appropriate spacing. is there a similar way to make other lines such as marquee or variations of dots and dashes?

can someone help me?

thank you,
iwona

You can define an infinite variety of brushes. That's you key to producing various lines.

thank u very much, gentlemen.

i've refered to photoshop help and created a new brush (defined from a dash i'd drawn) that with 0 roundness and increased diameter and spacing give me exactly the marquee effect i was looking for.

happy new year!
