The image I'm printing is 5.5" high and when I print it, it's centered on the paper. I want it to print at the top of the paper. Can this be done? I tried making the canvas 11" long but this causes some of the angled lines to print with breaks in them.
I have Photoshop 5.5 and the printer is HP LaserJet 4, non-postscript.

Add canvas as required below the image.

Jim,
If you want to have the most flexible and excellent printing choices and options, try a program called QImage from DDI software.
You can find them at www.ddisoftware.com
This printing program is the finest of its type. Even though I'm a big Photoshop booster, QImage runs circles around printing from PS.
You can download it and try it out. There is a large well written manual with it in PDF form. The printing workflow is so much simpler than PS. You have to try out the program to see how great it is.
Once you try it, and learn all the many capabilities, you'll never print from PS again. And, this program has free updates for life.
(I don't get any commission) :-)

I don't have PS 5.5, so I'll pretend you have PS 7 - sorry if that makes my answer silly.
Just go to Print Preview and uncheck Center Image. Then drag the image to where you want it.
