Droplets are not working for me on CS. Help Please

Hello,

This problem is causing me to loose sleep. Any help will certainly be appreciated. I'm working with CS. PC with lots of power/memory/etc.

Here's what I do to create an action:

Open image
Image size
Convert to profile
Save as (to another folder)
Close
I uncheck the "open" box on the action as I understand that droplets will open all files in the selected folder regardless.

I then go to automate, create droplet.
My dialog box is very straight forward.

In the "Play" dialog box I select the newly named action, uncheck everything except the "Supress File Open...." box. I then select my destination folder (different from my original folder) and save.

When I drag the folder to the droplet (with PS opened), nothing happens.

Am I doing something wrong?

Thanks for your anticipated help.

The same here. I don´t know why droplets doesn´t work

Ron:

What did you specify in the Destination dropdown menu and the Choose dialog in the Create Droplet dialog?

Besides a different folder location, are you specifying any other options in the Save As... command, such as a different file format or .jpg compression level?

This info will help in the diagnosis.

FWIW, I never include OPEN in my actions or droplets. Once the droplet is created you simply drop selected files or folders onto it and it performs the actions on those files.

So my first inclination would be to remove OPEN from your action and try it.

Danny,

My destination is "Folder", with the "override action" unchecked. The Choose Dialogue is listed as the folder I want the images to end up (it is a legitimate folder).

I have "document name" and "extension" listed in the "file naming" box.

Thanks for your help.

Tony,

I currently have it toggled off. Even if I toggle it on, it still makes no difference.

Ta-da,

I think that the action that the droplet was looking for was not in the correct folder, although I'm not certain which folder my actions should be. I moved it to the default action folder and it worked well.

Thanks to everyone who offered their assistance.
