I upgraded my computer to Windows XP & whenever I try to launch Photoshop I get an error message that says "Could not complete your request because of missing or invalid personal info." I’ve tried reinstalling it from the CD but it wont launch. Any ideas? I’m going crazy here. Thanks so much!

Reinstalling should fix it. Try uninstalling first.

Thank you. However, I cannot reinstall the program from the CD because it wont launch (I’m guessing this is due to an underlying computer problem.) That is why I was hopeing that this error message could be fixed without reinstalling at this time.

Any other suggestions?

If the CD won’t auto-run you can always browse the CD and and click on the setup file.

If that was "over_the_top" of an existing Windows installation, then that is probably the cause of all your problems (and probably many more you have not yet discovered)

WinXP needs to be installed to its own new folder – preferably on a freshly formatted partition – and then ALL applications, drivers etc. re-installing.
