I need some serious help. My uninst.isu file in my directory is corrupt or invalid (cause thats what it says when I got to uninstall photoshop), and therefore it wont let me uninstall!

How can I fix this? I tried re-installing photoshop from the CD-ROM but after doing so it tells me the same thing.

🙁

Bhavin,

I’m not sure what the problem is, but you might try looking for the uninst.isu file and moving it to some other directory (rather than delete it too quickly), then re-install PS7 and see if you can uninstall it then. Also, be certain you’re doing this as a user with administrative rights if you’re on a Win2K or WinXP machine.

hi daryl,

I have tried doing what you asked me to but the same thing still happens.

When I go to uninstall, the following message comes up:
"The log file ‘C:\Program Files\Adobe\Photoshop 7.0\Uninst.isu’ is not valid or the data has been corrupted. Uninstallation will not continue"

Weird!?

don’t copy any files over. just reinstall in the same location, then uninstall from the control panel.
