If I attempt to scan a slide or negative with the Minolta Dimage Scan Dual III AF-2840 while Photoshop CS is open, I get a completely unusable image. If I repeat the scan after closing Photoshop CS, I can use the scanner normally. It doesn’t matter whether I open Photoshop or the scanning software first, results are the same.
This did not happen with Photoshop 7.0.1…
The computer is running Windows XP Pro, fully patched and updated, with 1.5 GB RAM and 120 GB available hard drive space.
Is anyone else experiencing this issue, and if so, have you figured out what is causing the problem?
I’ve submitted the issue to Minolta, but have not yet heard back from them.
