I have the full version of Photoshop 3.0 and have recently purchased the new Photoshop CS (upgrade version). When I try to install it, the program cannot find my earlier version of Photoshop. Is there a file I can direct the program to so it can "see" my old Photoshop?

While you are eligible for the upgrade, you will need to call Adobe for special instructions.

I'm still in the world of v6 and won't be moving to CS until a computer upgrade - but a friend is still using v4 which came bundled with a scanner. Is this eligible for an upgrade, or are bundled versions outside the realm of upgrades?

Yes, the bundled versions are ok for the usual upgrade, as long as they aren't the LE versions.
