Help! i'm stuck in precision mode!

Hi, i'm using photoshop 7.0 on windows XP and i'm working on a flyer that involves a lot of eraser work, and for some reason my cursor is stuck on what looks like prescision mode... i'm not getting the little circle that shows me where the eraser is going :( i've checked the preferences, and the "brush size" option is checked, but it's just not showing up... i'm wondering, is there another place that the cursor could have been changed? i've tried un-installing and re-installing, but it didn't work either...

Turn off the caps lock key.
