I am currently using Photoshop CS on a Dell Dimension 450. I have 4 Gb Ram installed which the BIOS sees. Windows XP sees 3.7 Gb, and using any memory manager only shows 2GB available. Photoshop on the other hand only sees 1.77GB. I'd like to get Photoshop to see and use all of this RAM, and would prefer not to have to exchange my machine out for an Itanium based one whenever Intel comes out with one. Anybody else out there with this problem or found a solution?
Thanks.

PS only uses 2 gig of ram due to operating system limitations.

As Dave says, it won't.
The 1.77 is the max you will get. - the other 0.33 is reserved for the program code as opposed to image data, and Photoshop just cannot see your other 2 gigs.

Thanks guys. It sucks, you would thinke Adobe would of changed this from version 7 due to enlarged file sizes with 16 bit layering.
