Is this a problem with my PC or with Photoshop? I'm using PS 6 on Windows 2000 Professional and just this week PS has started to take about 2 or 3 minutes to open. I double click it and its window opens but the timer icon remains for ages before the PS opening screen comes on and it opens. Everything works fine once it's open. Any ideas anybody?

Often something to do with the default printer driver being "bruised" or somesuch.
Change default printer to something else, like Generic Postscript or something, and see if prob clears.

Well, it's taken a while but I've just had a visit from one of our IT personel and it turns out it was, like you suggested Mac, something to do with a printer driver, and another programme that connects me to the network.
