Photoshop 7 Plugins

I have recently upgraded to Photoshop 7 and not to sure about using plugins with Photoshop 7, for additional effects. I have seen quite a few advertised and wondered if there are any good ones that are recommended.
Also once I buy them are they installed into the plugins folder in Photoshop, I tried an old plugin that I had with version 5, I placed it in the Plugins folder but could not find the effect to use in Photoshop.
Any help welcome.

When I installed plugins I put them in PLUGINS\FILTERS.
PS7 found them after I relaunched PS.
They appeared on the bottom of the filter-menu.

Hard to say what plugins you will like. I have good experiences with NeatImage, Focalblade and a number of filters from Flaming Pear.
