droplet does not work

I have been trying to create a droplet to convert tiff files to jpeg files. I have created an action which works as a single action or as a batch however when i create a droplet photoshop launches but the file does not open and therefore the action does not work. Does anybody know what the problem maybe ?

I'm not sure what version of Photoshop you are using, but in version 7, I had a similar experience, but found that if I opened photoshop first, then ran the droplet, everything ran okay. Have you tried that?

I am running photoshop 7 however even if it is already open and i try to use the droplet the images still dont open up.
