I was wondering if, after installing CS, I could just drag the Plugins folder from Version 7 into CS? Or do I have to reinstall all (very many) of my plugins?

Thanks,
David

David,

As a rule of thumb, many plug-ins can be moved or copied, with no reinstallation required, yet the better approach is to place 3rd party plug-ins into a common directory. Then, you just point your secondary plug-ins path in your Preferences to that location. It is important that the secondary path not include any native Photoshop filters, else a version conflict could arise that causes errors. Note that any plug-ins that don’t work may require a reinstall to address any unique registry entries they might need.

Daryl
