I am using PS vs 7 which has been working fine for the past 6 or 8 months. Now suddenly everytime I go to the move tool the transform tool activates. It is not as though it is actually doing anything, because you can select other tools and other layers, but as you click on a different layer with the move tool, the tranform becomes active.

I have tried uninstalling the application and reinstalling, but it still acts the same. Then I tried installing your 7.0.1 update, and still the problem presists.

Any ideas?

I am running Photoshop 7 on dual processer Athalon computer with 1 gig of ram. Operating system is XP Professional.

Thanks

Rod

I must not be understanding what you mean since when you click on the boundaries of the target item, that’s normal behavior. For example when you click on the corner handles, it changes to a transform v. plain move.

So… what exactly is happening?

Rod,

You have Show Bounding Box checked in the Options Bar, whereas previously you didn’t

The smallest thing can sure cause you a pain.
Thanks for the answer, it was the bounding box in options that was causing me to see the transform handles.

Thanks
