Hi,

Am I right if I say that you can’t use the Magic Wand in Bitmap Mode no matter what you do? (Photoshop 7.01). Actually I thought that is was possible if anti-aliasing for the Magic Wand is turned off, but it doesn’t seem to work.

Sounds right to me.

You need to convert to grayscale 1:1, and convert back when you’re done.

What are you trying to do, make contracted or expanded color areas for trapping purposes?

I’m not trying to accomplish anything other than to be certain that the Magic Wand tool can’t be used in Bitmap Mode. 🙂

Thanks for your reply John.
