I’ve found several old threads talking about how the "Updating Adobe Online components from Adobe.com…" that auto-run are causing their programs to lock-up. The solution was to turn off the updates. Well, my programs don’t lock up, but I do always get an error – "The internet connection timed out. Please try again later." – and have never had an update work with any Adobe product (PS, Illustrator, Acrobat, InDesign) – I know I can turn off the updates in Preferences, but aren’t these trying to run for a reason? Is there a way to actually fix the problem instead of ignoring it by turning off the option to check for the updates? Perhaps this is a network problem on my end?

Thanks for the help!!

Brian

Brian,

it’s a known issue. Simply turn it off and don’t worry yourself about it 🙂

* sigh* Ok, I hate having things that don’t work – but if it’s a PS issue and Adobe knows, then we’ll have to just wait…

Thanks
