I've found several old threads talking about how the "Updating Adobe Online components from Adobe.com..." that auto-run are causing their programs to lock-up. The solution was to turn off the updates. Well, my programs don't lock up, but I do always get an error - "The internet connection timed out. Please try again later." - and have never had an update work with any Adobe product (PS, Illustrator, Acrobat, InDesign) - I know I can turn off the updates in Preferences, but aren't these trying to run for a reason? Is there a way to actually fix the problem instead of ignoring it by turning off the option to check for the updates? Perhaps this is a network problem on my end?
Thanks for the help!!
