Can anybody recommend a web site that reveals the equations implemented by the various color mixing and modification commands? I am specifically referring to the choices under the "Mode" list - Darken, Lighten, Multiply, Screen, etc, although it would also be nice to know the equations implemented by the color commands under the Image>Adjustments menu.
It seems to me that Adobe (and every other computer company) has decided that people are too stupid to understand equations, so they try to explain mathematical functions in plain English, which confuses the issue rather than clarifying it. If they'd just tell us the equations, the confusion would simply go away, at least for the mathematically literate.
