Gradient Tool in PS7 how to automatically use foreground to background color gradient

I went from using the gradient tool in photoshop 5 to the version in 7. I think the one in 7 is a lot more powerful, but...
now for the stupid part.

How do I just for example color pick (eyedrop) two colors from an image, the background and forground swatches and have that be used for my gradient. I used to be able to do this in version 5. I just want to quickly pick 2 colors go the the gradient tool, not make any presets and draw a gradient with those two colors I just picked, I don't want to have to edit the gradient tool each time.

stupid question??

let me know.

Thanks

I am new but this is what I found out by accident. Pick your two colors put them in foreground and background then open gradient tool and the first gradient in the upper left hand corner is the fore/back ground that you just selected. It seems everytime you pick a f/B it is placed in this upper left box. If this is not what you meant sorry.
Have a nice day.

Just pick the gradient preset named "foreground to background".

I figured it out I had a preselected gradient set loaded. I reset the gradient tool pallette and now it works like I want it.

Thanks!
