I think you'll find that most limitations etc should be set by the contract between owner and purchaser. Any agreement will override any 'default' restrictions. If you're setting up to sell, you'll need to get the client to agree to whatever terms you want - like 'restricted for one publication, not to be distributed', or 'unlimited use', or 'usage to expire 2005', or 'must include photo credit to ....', or 'for news reporting only, not to be used in any advertising material', or 'not to be used to represent any illegal activity or product' etc etc
