brushes compatible between PS7 and CS?

Just curious… Does anyone know if the brushes from Photoshop 7 can be accepted and used in Photoshop CS. I went through a lot of effort to create a number of brushes in PS 7. I would like to know if I can keep using them in I upgrade or if I have to make them all over again.

Yes.
