I am a neophyte, so feel free to follow someone else’s advice, but. . .
Did you go to Edit > Preferences > Plug-ins and Scratch Disks to verify the scratch disks are recognized as such? I have no experience with versions prior to CS, so I don’t know if this is something new to CS and I don’t know if the upgrade process carries you previous setting over.
I apologize in advance if this is a "Duh!" thing you’ve already looked at.
OK, this one has me at a complete standstill……..bit
I WAS using PS 7, WHICH WORKED FINE….
I upgraded to CS and suddenly I"m having a problem cropping. Here’s the situation… I have a .psd file that is approximately 4.8 MB. Its a 16
file. I’ve done color correction and other basic operations on it,including
resizing it for the screen by setting it to 72 ppi and 1122X768. NOW Ineed to
crop it so its 1024X768.23GB,
When I do the crop I get the message:
"Could not complete your request because the scratch disks are full."
Which is pure, unadulterated excrement…
First, I only have 1 photo open. Efficiency SAYS I’m at 100%.
Second, I have 4 scratch disks specified. They have respectively, 61GB,
17 GB, and 3GB of free space… Yes, GIGABYTES… And NONE of them isthe disk
on which Photoshop is installed.virtual
The system has an AMD 2600+ cpu and 1GB of real memory. And 4GB of
memory. Running Windows 2000 Pro with SP4.I’ve
I have renamed the prefs.psp file and tried it without ANY scratch disks.
tried it with everywhere from 1 to 4 scratch disks. I’ve tried differentorder
for the disks.photograph
NOTHING MAKES ANY DIFFERENCE. I can’t do a stinkin’ crop on a simple
with this *&^%$#@! new version.knowledge
I can’t find any information on this problem in goggle or any of the
bases I’ve found. Has ANYBODY seen this problem? Or is this another oneof
those things where I have to nuke the installation and try again?
