Arranging Layers/photos

I’m doing a photo collage…I have 10+ photos on individual layers. Is there a way to have Photoshop evenly arrange/distribute the layers/photos?

When I add/remove a picture this gets a bit tedious.

Yes, there is a way [I’m assuming PS7]:

First make sure you don’t want to move the bottom background layer. If necessary, double click on its name in the Layers palette to make it "normal" and create a new background below it.

Select the move tool.
Group the layers that you wish to distribute.
You will now see a set of 12 buttons on the options bar at the top. Play with those.
