long pattern fill times

i’m can fill an area of a drawing with the bucket pattern fill however it takes accessivly long to acomplish this.
it worked fine and fast for the first little while, but now its taking over 10 seconds for a small simple pattern fill on a 300 dpi jpeg.

any suggestions?

The easiest way is to make a larger pattern. For instance, if your pattern is 16 pixels by 16 pixels, make a new one that is 32 pixels by 32 pixels, and it will fill four times as fast.
