This is driving me crazy!!! I’ve read everything every one of you has written – but I still don’t have color control. I calibrated my LaCie Monitor using their Blue Eye colorimeter. I calibrated my scanner and printer using Monaco EZ Color. In Advanced Settings for the PC desktop, I made the LaCie ICM file the default. For the Epson Scanner, I made the ICM file the default and for the Printer, I print using no color adjustment. For the working space in Photoshop CS, I’m using Adobe RGB 1998. My scanned prints aren’t too bad – but aren’t right. They have a bluish cast. My prints are all washed out (lack contrast) compared to what I see on the screen – and, for one thing, my reds turn to orange when I print. I wish one of you guys that is VERY knowledgeable about color control would let me call you if you would be willing to walk me through this process. I am a photographer and all I want to do is work with RGB. I’m sure I must be using the profiles in the wrong way or specifying them in the wrong place. Also, where I would expect to see my monitor profile, I don’t. Instead, I see the canned profile for my LaCie. Bill Hilton??? Mike Russell??? Flycaster??? If one of you would supply me with a phone number and a time to call, I’d greatly appreciate it. I need to get over this stumbling block quickly……….
