Hi,

I just installed Photoshop 7.0 on my computer. I am running XP professional. When starting it for the first time it gave a small error box stating "The parameter is invalid" I click OK and nothing happens. Tried reinstalling, same result, tried rebooting several times, same result.
Imageready won’t even start at all, no message just nothing.

Anybody any suggestions about what to do?

Thanks,
Eric.

are you running on a beta version of xp? run accessories> system tools> system info. the build must be 2600 or better

@Dave Milbut:
As far as I know, I am not. I will have to check tonight to be sure (I am at work right now). Let’s assume I am not 🙂 any ideas?

that’s the message you get when you’re on a beta. maybe reinstalling will fix it up. search the forums and you should be able to come up with a couple of fixes. MOST times that’s the problem, iirc, the other say 2 out of 10 have recovered with a reinstallation.
