Question About Drop Shadow In Layer Styles

I would like to know if there is some way to apply two different shadows to the same layer using Layer Styles? For example, if I want to shadow the left side of a frame, and then apply the same shadow effect but move the location of the shadow to a different angle on that selection, how can I do that? It doesn’t appear that you can have more than one layer style effect (of the same effect) to the same layer. With PaintShopPro I can apply a shadow to a layer, then go back to the shadow effect again and change the angle and it will apply another shadow to the same layer without removing the first one. Is there any way to do this in Photoshop?

Assistance would be greatly appreciated,

here’s a thought – save the image as a flat file, then put it back into the original and apply the next effect

That is one option that would work…a few extra steps to take, but if it works its worth a try.
Thanks, Steve 🙂

I’d rather suggest duplicating the layer and setting a different shadow on that one.
if for some reason you only want the shadow effect without the content, then put fill to zero.
