I’ve got a bunch of jpg digital photos that I want do downsize (Image>Image Size) and save as smaller jpg files (choosing a lesser quality/smaller file size in the jpg dialog).

How can I direct Photoshop to a folder of these files and have it automatically convert these?

Or is there another utility that can easily automate this process?

PS 7.0 Macintosh.

Thanks,

DaveC

Record an action resizing as you like, then go to Automate>Batch and run it from there. More info in your manual, Help and tutorials on the web.
