I know that the program Texture Maker 3.0.3
has the ability to add sand to the image.
Does any one know where that filter is
in its "Function Seclection"?
Thank you very much.

yeah, a great prog for texture generation/seamless tiling.

Look under Generate, Noise and the presets at the bottom on the right. Don’t forget to try Noise, Scratch to add a gentle any-angle scratch.

Check out the ISampler-Texture Resynthesis button too(fourth icon from the right at the top) – amazing!)

Gary,

Thank you so much. I found the Fine Sand exactly
where you said it was.
Now, one little question. I need to place some sand
into a selection of the image. How can I select just a color, say, black, in TextureMaker? Should I do it in Photoshop and
then send the file to TextuMaker?
Thank you so much for your help again.

I’m not sure what you mean by select a color?
you should be able to just open your image in TM and use the Selection/Mask tools(at the top right) to select the area you want and apply the Fine Sand.
