I am working on my senior design project. I am modifying a webcam to see the infrared spectrum. I purchased a cheap $10 cam from radio shack and managed to butcher it. Like a neanderthal I tried to pry the IR filter off using a small screwdriver. I failed terribly, I managed to pop the lens right off along with the filter. Is there any chemical solution that will help remove the adhesive on the filter? Or does anybody know of an inexpensive webcam that the IR filter will easily come out of?
Thanks,
Rob
